Despite being out-shot 14-2 through most of the first period, the Blues found themselves on the powerplay capitalizing for the game’s first goal to take the lead:

After skating to a scoreless 2nd period, Ryan Graves would tie it up for the Avs a little over 5 minutes into the 3rd period:

And in what became a record setting buzzer beater goal, Nazem Kadri would score the game winner with 0.1 seconds remaining in the 3rd period:

The Colorado Avalanche sealed it late with a 2-1 victory to take their first round robin game.
