The Newmarket, Ontario, native spent five seasons with the Blues. In 2011-12 he went 23-10-4 with nine shutouts in 38 games (36 starts), led the NHL in goals-against average (1.56) and save percentage (.940), won the William M. Jennings Trophy, awarded to the team that allowed the fewest goals, and placed fifth for the Vezina Trophy, voted to the League’s top goalie.
Elliott led the NHL with a .930 save percentage in 2015-16 when the Blues reached the Western Conference Final, but he never played more than 46 games in a season with St. Louis, and on June 24, 2016 he was traded to the Calgary Flames.
He signed a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on July 1, 2017.
