NHL Ice Girl of the Day: Brittany of the Florida Panthers

1) When and how did you get into hockey?
A: I have always been a hockey fan but I really started to get into the sport when I became a Lady Panther three years ago.

2) Who is your favorite hockey player of all-time?
A: Erik Gudbranson

3) If you could meet any current hockey player, who would it be?
A: Wayne Gretsky

4) What are some of your hobbies and interests?
A: I am really into photography. I also like to take dance and yoga classes on my down time.

5) What’s the best thing about being an NHL Ice Girl?
A: I think the best thing about being a Lady Panther is being able to dance on the ice. I love to see the crowd’s reaction when we do kicks and splits on the ice; it’s pretty awesome.

6) Did you play organized hockey growing up or if not would you be interested in learning to play?
A: I didn’t play hockey growing up but I certainly would be interested in playing some time in the future. Maybe get an all girls team together!

7) How many seasons have you been an NHL Ice Girl?
A: Three seasons.

8) What do you love the most about hockey?
A: I think hockey has the best fans. Hockey fans are some of the most die hard loyal fans I have ever seen.

9) What would be your dream job?
A: I would love to be a sports reporter.

10) How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
A: Sweet, loyal, determined.

I grew up playing Ball and Roller Hockey day and night somewhat religiously throughout elementary and middle school. The two don't compare though when I lace up the skates and hit the ice.
