The Calgary Flames made an offersheet to Ryan O’Reilly Thursday afternoon.
The contract details: 2 years, 10 million dollars, 2.5 million dollar signing bonus, makes 1 million for remainder of this season, 6.5 million next season.
The Colorado Avalanche matched the offer just hours after it was announced that the Flames had signed O’Reilly to an offersheet. If Colorado would have walked, the compensation would have been a first and a third round pick from the Flames.

I have been an insanely intense fan of the Calgary Flames for as long as I can remember. Hockey is a huge part of my life and always has been. Every morning I wake up and watch one of three television shows. Those three shows consist of "That's Hockey", "Sportscenter" and "Sportsnet Connected." All day I am constantly glued my phone checking twitter updates for any breaking news or reading article after article on various sports apps. I will rarely go a day with out getting my hockey fix. I am not only one of the most passionate and opinionated Calgary Flames fans you will ever meet, but an extremely engaged hockey fan also.
