Top College Prospect Signs NHL Contract Following National Championship Loss
One of the University of Minnesota’s top players has finally committed to making the jump to the NHL, less than 24 hours after the team suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss. With Logan Cooley, Brock Faber, and Matthew Knies all eligible for NHL contracts, it was only a matter of time before one of them chose to sign one.
Brock Faber decided to sign a three-year entry-level contract with the Minnesota Wild today shortly after 11 a.m.
The contract begins this season, and Faber could see action with the Wild as early as this week.

The LA Kings selected Faber 45th overall in the 2020 draft. Faber was a key component in the deal that enabled the Los Angeles Kings to acquire Kevin Fiala during the offseason.
Congratulations, Brock!
