Boston Bruins trade Dan Vladar to Calgary Flames for a 2022 pick
The Boston Bruins have traded goaltender Dan Vladar to The Calgary Flames for a 2022 third-round pick.

Vladar was drafted by Boston in the third round, #75 overall in the 2015 NHL draft and signed a 3-year entry-level contract at the beginning of the 2016-17 season. He made his AHL debut October 26, 2016 and two days later, he picked up his first AHL victory in a 4-2 win against the Utica Comets.
His first AHL shutout came March 25 in Albany when he stopped all 34 shots he faced in a 5-0 win. Vladar represented the Czech Republic at the most recent 2016 and 2017 World Junior Championship. He spent the majority of 2017-18 with Atlanta as their primary goaltender, going 16-18-1 with a 2.96 GAA and save percentage of 91.1%. He also saw three games of AHL action with Providence, going 2-1 with 1.96 GAA and 92.9% save percentage.
